Cupioromanticflux is a romantic orientation that describes an individual who does not experiences romantic attraction, and fluctuates between wanting a romantic relationship and not wanting a romantic relationship.[1]
It is an orientation on the aromantic spectrum.[2]
History
The term was coined by FANDOM user Stormy Galaxies on December 31, 2020. It was coined through the creation of the page on the LGBTA Wiki.[3]

The flag was created by FANDOM user RoseWatera on December 31, 2020. There is no known meaning behind the flag.[1]
An edited version of the flag was uploaded onto the DeviantArt account Pride-Flags on February 23, 2021 The ratio of the flag was changed and the bar between the first two lines was edited out.[2]
