Müllerian
Müllerian is a term describing an individual who has ovaries and/or a predominantly estradiolized uterus.[1] The term was originally coined to describe those whose fetal development favored the Müllerian ducts.[2] However, the term is also used to an alternative to describing a "dyadic female," or someone who isn't intersex.[3]
Common Characteristics
Under the more specific definition, a müllerian individual has all of the following traits:[3]
- A vagina
- A uterus
- Ovaries
- Breasts
- Create egg cells
- Can become pregnant
- Has estrogen as their primary sex hormone

The term comes from the Müllerian ducts.[2]
History
The term was proposed by a trans woman as an alternative for the term "ovarian," in the comment section of a blog from the early 2010s.[2]
The more specific definition was coined by Tumblr user mourningmogaicrew on August 31, 2021.[3]
