Pages should follow standard wiki formatting, which means:
- Written in formal American English.
- Do not plagiarize.
- Bold text must only be used in the beginning of the article/section of an article for the name of the term and any alternate spellings.
- Italicized text must only be used for titles of books, shows, games or other media.
- Text must be readable by text-to-speech programs, which means no typing quirks or special fonts.
- Dates should follow either format: MONTH DD, YYYY or DD of MMM, YYYY.
- Do not write in first person or second person, no "I" or "you," except when directly quoting someone.
- With the exception of dates, numbers twelve and less should be spelled out, while numbers 13 and above should be written with numerals.
- Do not address the reader.
- Do not add "WIP" or author's notes.
Additionally, personal bias should not be in these articles.
Titles[edit | edit source]
Pages should be titled by the singular term (i.e. "Lesbian" instead of "Lesbians"), unless the page is about a group, such as "Switchblade Sapphics," and articles should be titled based on formal titling format. This means that words like "the" of "of" should not be capitalized, but every other word should be (i.e. "Gay Man" and "Gays of the Guillotine"). If a term includes an hyphen, both words should be capitalized (i.e. "Non-Binary").
Outside of titles, identities are not proper nouns and should not be capitalized in the article itself.
Flags/Symbols[edit | edit source]
The most common flag/symbol should be at the top of the page. Other alternative flags can be shown on the page if they have a significant history behind them, however alternative flags can also go into a gallery in the "Alternative Flags" section of the article if there are no extra information.
Files should be named "Flag Name" and should be .png files. If uploading an alternate flag, they should be titled "Flag Name (number)".

Templates[edit | edit source]
- Template:Joke: May be used for a term that may or may have been genuinely coined.
- Template:NSFW: May be used when the contents of an article include content that is not safe for work (or NSFW).
- Template:Problematic: May be used when a term has a problematic history or a problematic usage. Mainly use this template for hate groups or labels coined by trolls.
- Template:Reclamation: May be used for a term that has a history of being hateful/problematic, such as a slur or an identity coined in bad faith, but it has been reclaimed.
- Template:TW: May be used if a term has contents that may be triggering to some individuals, such as discussions of self-harm, suicide and sexual assault.
Sourcing[edit | edit source]
Sources should be in MLA format and links should be archived. For example:

When someone clicks on the link, they should be brought to an archived version of the page. This is so that we do not lose any information and resources. https://archive.md/ is a viable option for archiving sources, but there are other cites that can be used for archiving. Information must be cited, do not add any information without resources that back it up.
